Coaches / Managers
Scott Ridgway (Head Coach)
Silicon Valley Glory, Gilroy CA. 95020
After his baseball playing days were over, Scott started coaching youth sports and hasn’t stopped for over 30 years.
He’s coached girls fastpitch travel ball for the last 12 years with successful programs as the Magic, Lady Sharks, Wicked, Campbell Crush, Sunnyvale Shockers, Strikkers and Nor Cal Legends. Some of his teams have reached the National Championship tournament and finished in respectable fashion
His number one goal has always been to help young kids develop strong working habits that they’ll need as they get older . Not just from athletics , but from helping them learn the important life lessons he was taught through strong communications skills in a team environment.
“All young kids are in the need of our help and the best way I know how to do this is to listen to them and letting them know I’ll do everything I can to help”. “If they all know they can come to me at anytime with any question and that I’ll listen and do my best to help, then I’ve accomplished a lot”
“These young kids need to know they have others in their lives that believe in them and care for them other than their family”. “My coaching job, which I take very seriously, is to keep the lines of communication open at all times and help build their confidence by a lot of positive reinforcement”. No yelling or screaming, just be open to learning and have fun doing it”
